Cape May

We enjoyed our stay in Cape May.  We had planned to stay two nights but ended up staying three as the wind was howling out in the ocean and it would have been very uncomfortable, with 6 foot seas.  We seemed to be busy the first and second day with Debbie's sister Charlotte visiting and a day of provisioning.  We had a nice Birthday dinner for Charlotte at Lucky Bones which is a short walk from the Marina. On the third day Bill, Debbie and I took the bicycles and rode into Cape May and brought Abby along on her leash.  She is very good on the leash and rode with me on sidewalks and roads as we worked our way to the ocean front, she also helps pull me along until she gets tired.  It's a good way to wear her out and she needs the exercise as she is still a puppy and has lots of energy.  Dogs for whatever reason are not allowed on the closed pedestrian mall but are allowed on the cross streets.  The police were chasing us and many other dog walkers away from the mall.  Too bad it seems like a ridiculous rule. Also they have a walking biking path all along the ocean front but dogs and bikes are not allowed on it after 10:00 AM.  Its the same deal in Atlantic City.
We stayed at Utcheès marina.  Not a bad place but expensive and dated.  Old docks, poor WiFi and they are supposedly dog friendly.  There was not a piece of grass anywhere on the property, nor any doggie potty bags.  Small gripes but that is what makes the difference between great and just OK when it comes to marinas.

Here is Abby and I enjoying the architecture of Cape May.  I got ice cream, Abby got a bottle of water.

The tile roof and paint work was spectacular, on these houses

How about that for a perfect boxwood hedge

Abby loved playing in the sand
