Windham Landing Cutoff to Rattlesnake Bend 10/17/17

After Debbie's experience yesterday climbing a muddy bank and dodging cow patties in the field by the anchorage when she took Abby for a walk, there was no morning walk for Abby!  Again and yes we feel very lucky it's a beautiful day. We cruised along heading south and it is getting hotter every day.  We passed a few boats that we knew. There was "RA" a solar powered vessel doing the loop with no other sources of fuel other than solar.  They even cook with electric provided by power from the sun to an inverter.  No propane no gas dingy, nothing.
Ra trucking along at 6 knots.  They make enough electricity from the solar panels to charge the inverter batteries on a sunny day.  Lots of solar panels..

I took a couple of pics of a dredge working to deepen an entrance to a boat ramp on the river.  That's a lot of very expensive equipment for a few bass fishermen.
I wonder how many guys are working on this project?

Dredge at work.  Look at the size of the crane.

We then came to the white cliffs of the Tenn-Tom. Quite the sight.

We finished our day anchoring for the night in McConnico Creek.  Usually we try a stop for the night around 3-4 so we can get some chores done and relax before dinner.  This was a great spot and we took Abby to a small beach and also did a short dingy cruise up the creek. We are still working hard on the upholstering project and some further advancements were made today.
