Merrickville to Black Rapids

We left at 9:00 to catch the first lock down and cruised through the rivers to Black Rapids for the night.  It was a long day with many locks and lots of miles.  It was a holiday weekend and the weather was nice so everybody was out in their boats.  Lots of tourists watching us go through the locks.
We stopped for lunch in the middle of the river and anchored for an hour for lunch.  Jacynthe went swimming but the current was pretty strong.  I had wanted her to go under to check the props as we had bumped twice in the canals.  I don't think we did any damage as it felt more like a deadhead than a rock.  I think this cat is using up his nine lives quickly.

Jacynthe and Yanik brought all kinds of goodies from Cosco and SAQ Depot and not only brought it but cooked and cleaned too.  It was really like being on vacation.  Thanks guys, it was nice to have a few days off of KP duties.

We pulled into Black Rapids and grabbed a spot on the blue line and were able to get power and water.  Two important things to have. It's a very peaceful spot and not too far from Ottawa where we will change crews again tomorrow.
