We caught the first lock at 9:00 and motored down through Smith Falls. We did not stop this time and locked through down to Merrickville where we docked in the upper pond next to the dam. A nice couple on a catamaran cruiser from Paris France docked next to us and we talked about how much fun doing the Loop is/was. They are having a great time.
We are meeting my niece (not really but close) and Yanik her boyfriend who will travel with us until Ottawa. I've been boating with Jacynthe since she was three so we have traveled a lot together. They were so excited to come aboard and had cleaned out the shelves at Cosco and the SAQ and brought it all with them. Fine wines, Greek food and lots of cheeses, breads, pita, brochetta and much more. Thank you both. For the next couple of days I was relieved of galley duty and it was excellent.
