Portland and Colonel By Island

We had arranged to meet Russ and Brenda at the Galley in Portland for lunch and wanted to get a pump out and water while we were there.  We pulled into Len's Cove Marina and the pump out was broken but they promised it would be ready to go after lunch.  So we moved over to the T head near the Galley restaurant where they have free docking for Restaurant patrons.

We had a lovely lunch on the upper deck with Russ and Brenda and then walked over to the grocery store for a couple of staples and then back to the marina.
After lunch we filled with water and completed the pump out with super service from the two girls working the dock. Later we cruised over to Colonel By island for a night at the Parks dock.  There was one other boat there but they left around dinner time and Salty Paws from Maine came into the other dock.  We chatted about our travels as we had seen them at Croton on Hudson but had never talked. We heard loons which is always such a pleasure in the Rideau system.  Abby ran around the island and enjoyed ourselves and it was off to bed for the next day
