Beaver Island to Escanaba 9/7/17

We left Beaver Island at 7:30 to leave some time to get to Escanaba earlier in the day and because the winds were lower in the morning.  This is very open water and the winds were forecast for 15-20 kts.  The ride was OK but we had a beam sea almost all morning until we rounded the corner into Little Bay de Noc.  Debbie and Abby had their Dramamine and survived the day without getting sick.

 The staff at Escanaba greeted us with two dockhands and secured the boat and then went and got two carts full of packages and six 5 gallon pails of oil that I had ordered.  Great service!!

We came to Escanaba so I could work the Great Lakes Logging Show and the show starts tomorrow so we met up with Rob, Pierre and Mike for dinner.  Mike picked us up at the Marina and we had a nice dinner catching up with the boys. We will be here for almost a week so I will probably only make one post for our stay here.
