Chicago Day Two 9/17/17

Our Tour Boat  "Chicago's First Lady"

The Ferris wheel at Navy Pier.  This is the replacement model.  The original one was built in 1893 as part of the World's Columbian Exposition.  It was 26 stories tall and carried 50 people to a car!

Buildings buildings and more buildings

We got up early to catch the Architectural Boat tour of Chicago.  We boarded at 10:00 AM and were treated to a very well narrated tour of all of Chicago's waterfront buildings. An hour and a half later we got off and walked to O'Briens for lunch.

Great architecture as seen from the boat.

After lunch we went back to the boat and headed back to Mariano's grocery store to stock up.  Also had a little Gelato for dessert.

After cocktails we joined about 18 other Loopers for an evening aboard Gypsie's Palace for a night time cruise.

This is my favorite picture of Chicago
