That's Chicago. We are getting close. |
We arrived at DuSable Harbor early in the afternoon and were greeted and helped with docking by at least six other Loopers. We made the decision to stay here as it was the same price (expensive) as most other Chicago Marinas but had the best location. We were right and really enjoyed our two day stay with a slip right on the boardwalk. Talk about a great place for people watching. DuSable is right beside the Chicago Lock leading through the city and not far from Riverwalk and Navy Pier. A mile long bike ride south is the Aquarium, Planetarium and Museum.
Since it was still early we took the bikes and went exploring. First we rode to a local high end grocery store Mariano's that had everything from ready made Sushi to salad bars, Chicago pizza and Gelato. Debbie had Sushi and I had pizza on their rooftop terrace.

After we rode by the Magnificent Mile and down to Navy Pier. Worked off the pizza for sure. When we got back to the boat we relaxed and planned our next day.
