Sheboygan to Milwaukee 9/14/17

We left Sheboygan early to get to Milwaukee for the early afternoon. It was another clear day with no fog and increasing waves in the afternoon but again a very pleasant day to be out on the water. While we were cruising along I looked up just in time to see we were about to run over a fish trap and I'm sure it would not have turned out well.  We were able to stop in time and back up to go around the nets, close call though.
We had a reservation at McKinley Marina which is huge.  It took us a while just to find the fuel dock, that's how big it is.  705 gallons of diesel later we moved over to our slip for the night and waited on Maggie and Mark Janssen to come pick us up for dinner. Maggie and Mark used to live in Lexington SC but had recently moved back home to Milwaukee, and Maggie worked for Quadco for a couple of years or so. They met us at 6:30 for cocktails and a tour of the boat and then we went off to Cafe Benelux for a great dinner.  Thanks guys for coming to see us and show us Milwaukee, it was good to see you both and catch up.
If you've ever wondered this is what a fish trap looks like here is one.  I had seen them marked on charts but never actually found one.  They are surprisingly hard to see.
