Escanaba 9/6-9/11/16

Thursday morning the show started at noon and we met at the show at 10:00 to get everything ready to go.  The weather Thursday was rainy and there were only other vendors there and we spent our time talking with the other vendors and discussing whats new at Quadco.

We finished at 5:00 and picked Debbie up for an early dinner at the Stonehouse in Escanaba.  Dinner was great and then we went back to the boat and Rob and Pierre came over for a tour and drinks.

Friday morning we met for Breakfast at the Family Diner and then headed over to the show.  It was a beautiful day and the turnout was good.  We had lots of traffic through the booth and then dinner again at the Stonehouse. Debbie took Abby to the poodle parlor and she got a lot of hair cut off.  Too much for my liking but supposedly her hair was matted and it needed to be done.  Boy does she ever have skinny little legs!!  She does smell better though.

Saturday we met again at the Family Diner and then worked the show until 1:00, tore and packed everything up and then had a late lunch at a sub shop.  A little RnR in the afternoon and then we met for dinner at an Italian restaurant that we had not tried before and will not be going back to again.  It was terrible but so bad we laughed at it and left without complaining.

Sunday was a day off except for a trip to Walmart for supplies and dinner on the boat.

Monday we did laundry and boat chores.  I emptied all of the new oil I purchased into the storage tanks on board and emptied the used oil into the old containers.  Larry the Marina manager was kind enough to take the used oil to a buddy of his that uses used oil to heat with.  We washed the boat and I made a trip to Elmers County Market for some more supplies.  I wish I had done all of my shopping there as they seemed to have better deals and a much better selection than Walmart.  Lesson learned.
Dinner aboard and some more Homeland, then off to bed.

We very much enjoyed our week here and the facilities and staff couldn't have been better.  It was nice to stop for awhile.
