Buckhorn Lake to Fennelon Falls 7/31/17

It's my friends Andre and Russell's birthday today.  A big Happy Birthday wish to them both.
I took Abby and Angie over to the island and scouted out a better route to exit from this anchorage so I wouldn't have to run through so many weeds, and hopefully avoid having to dive on the props again. We exited on a different route and like so many times up here held our breath until we were in deeper water.  It all worked out and we headed over to Buckhorn and through there to Bobcaygeon where we stopped for lunch and some groceries.  They have ice cream and after lunch we walked over and indulged.  Debbie bought a Canada 150 T shirt and Brad did some groceries.  Abby, well Abby, everywhere you go people come up and ask if they can pet her and what kind of dog is she.  She is becoming a real rock-star and loves sitting or lying there looking cute and sucking up all of the attention.  We sat outside the ice cream store and fielded Abby questions for about a half hour. Maybe I should get Abby T shirts made!
After lunch we cruised through Sturgeon Lake and on to Fenelon Falls.  The docking is prettier on the top  and they have power but we were too late in the day and needed to stay at the bottom of the locks for the night where there was room to dock.
Angie, Brad and Debbie walked the town with Abby and scouted out an Ice cream shop for dessert after dinner.  Dinner was on board, probably more my decision as having traveled for years and spending 180 nights on the road, home cooking looks pretty good to me. After dinner Angie and Brad walked up to town and they were getting us ice cream.  WELL they missed the closing of the ice cream shop and came back empty handed, while they were gone a couple had showed up and docked next to us and he went up and got two huge cones for he and his bride and ate them in front of me.  Some things you just have to do yourself!  Homeland and of to bed.
Chairs for all sizes

Beautiful cruising through the lakes
